About Masani

Built on one belief: teaching quality determines everything.

Masani is an online tutoring company for Nigerian families living abroad. Children in the UK, US, Canada and beyond get private, one to one lessons with carefully vetted Nigerian teachers, across the UK, American, Nigerian and international curricula, from primary through secondary school.

Our story

Masani was built on a simple belief: the quality of teaching determines everything. We recruit and vet the most capable teachers, then work with families around the world to give every child access to genuinely excellent instruction.

We stay accountable for every teacher we place and every child we serve.

We built Masani for Nigerian families living abroad: parents who want their children taught to the standard of their new country's schools, by teachers who share their values and expectations. Lessons are one to one and fully online, so a child in London, Houston or Toronto can learn with an exceptional teacher from home.

Recognised by MIT

Masani was selected for the MIT Social Innovation Fellowship in 2025. Our teaching is built on the same rigorous, evidence led standards.

How we choose teachers

We do not list tutors for parents to browse. We select, vet and place the right teacher for each child, and only the top 3% of teachers who apply are accepted.

Teachers are chosen for subject expertise, for empathy, and for their ability to build a child's confidence. After every lesson they write a report for parents, every class is recorded, and we stay accountable for every teacher we place. Families can change teacher at any time, free, no questions asked.
