Frequently asked questions
What are EQAO assessments?
Provincial assessments in Ontario: reading, writing and math in Grades 3 and 6, and math in Grade 9. They show how students are doing against the Ontario curriculum.
What is the OSSLT and why does it matter?
The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test, usually taken in Grade 10, checks reading and writing. Passing it, or the alternative literacy course, is a requirement for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
My child is new to Canada. Can you help?
Yes. Many of our families are newcomers. We find the gaps between your child's previous schooling and the Ontario curriculum and close them quickly.
